Reading your post is bringing back memories of our son’s private adoption. We weren’t matched through an agency, rather through a friend, and we were matched with our son’s first parents 4 months before he was even born but the mixed feelings of excitement, fear, trepidation, and exhilaration were the same. :)

In our state, our son’s birth mother had to wait 72 hours before she could sign the termination paperwork. It was the longest 72 hours of my life!

I mean, for the adoption paperwork, sure, 4 pages is probably plenty, but let's face it...I've been around for almost 29 years and I can fit it all on 4 pages? *Sigh* I may have to re-write it just for the satisfaction of knowing that my life cannot be summed up in just 4 measly pages. lol I can’t help but wonder if our autobiographies are unnervingly short!
